Bernard frieken Barrian!
Romo wasn't horrible, but he wasn't the story. The story was the Bears D was on the field too much because the O sucks butt. D wore down, Romo hit wide open tight ends which opened up TO. At that point the game was over.
Romo wasnt horrible? The bears D was in his face all night, they should have had 8 sacks, and probably a few fumbles. It was Romo who avoided a constant blitz and found the open guy 25 yards downfield all night, looking like a young Favre (Yup. It got said).
And yeah, Grossman is bad, really bad. Chicago should have signed Leftwich, Atlanta signed him for less than Rex. It's not often a QB makes the Bears D look old and slow, especially when he is on the same team. Then again he didnt get any help from his RBs.
That wasn't the fault of the RBs, the bears have a sick run D. And youre right, Romo was slippery, almost to the point where I was thinking he was getting a bit lucky, but I don't know because I don't get to see him play that often. I do know he missed some open receivers, and aside from avoiding a couple (3?) sacks he didn't heat up until the bears wore down. It's the same damn game I watched in week one, the d stops again and again, then the d bends, then the d breaks. Can't win unless you can score points and eat some clock.
Romo looked OK to me, but he's not going to get a whole lot of teams to put their D on the field for 35 minutes a game. We'll see.
