On the way back to their table he thinks he might make a little bit out of this, so he keeps £2 and returns them £1 each = £3.
So, each customer gave £10 and received £1 in change, so each paid £9 for his meal. They paid a total of £27, and the waiter kept £2, which makes £29. But they initially paid a total of £30 - where did the other £1 go?
Who can work out what happened?
