I really enjoy the favorite song threads. I have found a few songs that I hadn't heard before that I found really good. Being as I play drums, I'm especially fond of drum solos. So I thought I would start a thread about drummers who people like. I'll start out with an obvious one...

    Does it get any better?

I like Alex Van Halen but no one can touch Neil Peart. My ex was a drummer and both of our kids play.

My 2yr old grandson is already taking up an interest in the drums also. And yes, Neil pretty much owns all.

My favorite drummer is probably Keith Moon, but I've never cared for drum solos. A fill is nice, but a solo makes me yawn.

I must mention Mr. John Henry Bonham. That fellow knew his way around a drum set.

I often wonder what the life span of his drums was? He hit really hard....just listen to When The Levee Breaks.
