Thread: Why are hunters so strongly disliked?

Why does everyone hate on our countries hunters and sportsmen? People complain that shooting a deer is cruel to the animal but i think them getting shot and dying in 10 minutes is better than having a deer get hit by a car and run off with a broken leg and starve to death 2 weeks later. Also there would be more deer/vehicle involved accidents. We hunters are saving peoples lives and money. I dont get people sometimes

If you want to play that game, one could say you are also taking away from a predator's food supply. But of course, that would be pathetic..

I consider myself neutral on this issue; if you feel the need to kill an animal go for it, if you don't enjoy murdering a helpless creature then good for you.

I'm for hunting even tho I've never done it. I think its more cruel the way people raise and harvest other animals anyways. At least a deer lives a free life.

Let me rephrase: I like meat, thats why.

"Until you kill it?" So whats better? being free then dying, or being brought up for the purpose of being killed. I don't see that much of a difference really. I guess I would like the illusion of being free.

"Not everyone is abusive." but some are force feed and are injected with hormones and such
