Thread: Gun Control........

I am so sick of people complaining about gun control. People saying that because of loose gun laws this crazy gunman killed so many people at Virginia Tech. I know this is a horrible tradgedy to our country and i pray for all those affected by it. People say that if this guy would not have been able to buy a gun that he would not have been able to kill all those people. That is just strait up Bull Sh*t. If he wouldnt've used a gun he woulda built a bomb which would have been even worse. As Americans we have the right to own guns and bear them. You anti-american wimps shut up and stop complaining.

Yes, how dare anyone have an opinion contrary to the NRA! They're god's soldiers on earth! Everyone should be required to own at least twelve guns for different sorts of protections. One gun for offing burglars. One gun for offing creepy homeless people. One gun for family members when they hog the shower. Finally, all of our individual freedoms will be protected with an assortment of guns in a wide variety of styles and flavors!

He lied on his application. Had he told the truth that he was committed to a mental facility they would have denied him. There should be a better way to screen potential gun owners. See how easy it was for this guy to obtain a gun legally? Of course, if he had not gotten a gun legally he could have always gotten one off the street, built a bomb, used a car to mow people down, etc. This man was intent on killing in any way, shape or form.

I'm all for gun laws such as prescreening, waiting periods, etc., not for restricting gun ownership.

You forgot a couple. I used to have a Hare Krishna gun, but apparently so did everyone else because you just don't see them loitering around airports like you used to...sigh. I also had a shotgun that I kept loaded with "kitten shot", shooting skeet gets old.

Nice avatar Inky ! Your into that too ? Did you read my post in the pinata thread ? Some advice just incase you plan on making a home made "love-yata". If the balloon method to make it don't forget to deflate BEFORE getting intimate. It's a lesson well learned for me. Once, while hi on pinata lust I forgot and the next thing I knew I was kneeling in my living room covered in bits of paper mache. What about mandatory serial number on every gun linked to a dna sample of every buyer? Maybe it's already the case I don't know.
Should also get a few days of mandatory training. Done by some police officers for example, where'd you learn the basics of gun use (and safety) and where potential psychotic or doubtful individuals would be spotted.
