That depends on the man and I would have to know more about than just his name.

My brother hung out with a guy who was 20 (he was my friend as well, I'm 3 years older than my brother) when he was 15 and they are still great friends. My brother is now 30 and he's 35, they are both married and are bother fathers and their sons are good friends too.

All depends on the 20 year old's and my son's maturity. I wouldn't just say yes or no without meeting the guy. There are some kids my son's own age I don't approve of him hanging with and I am sure that's the same in your life at home as well and Leo's.

Hey look, the reason I asked about this was coz of my aunt's dictatorial attitude. I don't think she has the right to tell a 16 year old who he can see, but obviously most of you do not agree with me. I have tried to explain everything to you but I think some of you just can't see my position.

And it sucks that a lot of you think I'm so stupid and headstrong that I would risk being with a pervert. And ilikeGW, that stuff with the older chick was when I was like 13. I've grown up a lot since then.

But coz I value your advice, I'm going to have a change of plan. I will tell this guy that he has to meet my aunt, and if she approves then I can continue hanging with him (even though that will make me look like a big baby).

This will be a sort of test of him. Like my aunt can be pretty tough, and she already disapproves, so if after talking with him, she's cool about it, she should give her permission. If he doesn't want to do that, (and I guess I can understand why he wouldn't - like it's a bit insulting) then it's a pity, but OK, bye, bye! Like he's just a mate, I'm not desperate for his company, and if everyone is going to get so mad about it, it's not worth the hassle.

Can you imagine the argument Jesus had with his parents?

Jesus: Oh sweet Mary! You don't even trust me!

Mary: God Jesus, you didn't even listen to what I said

Jesus: What, did you go to school with Moses?

Joseph: Jesus! Is that any way to talk to your mother?

Jesus: Shut up Joseph! You're not even my father! I don't have to listen to you!

Leo you really cannot get mad at the answers you received and the speculations about this old man being a perv nor can you bash anyone for giving you them or thinking that way. The whole scenario you put forth is questionable so what sort of answers did you think you'd get? I know you were hoping everyone would just go "Awww Leo it's your life and your decision. Go hang with him he sounds like such fun!" and in your own little perfect thinking world you would have gotten those answers. But this is the REAL world with people who have much more experience than you have and YOU asked us. Do not fault those answers which were not favorable to you nor tell off anyone who gave them...we really do know better as much as you do not wish to believe that.

We weren't saying immature so much as naive.

You may be well-written and have book smarts, but when it comes to the real world.....you have a great deal to learn.
