Sorry, I don't mean to be disrespectful to your dad, but I think that's just wrong. Even though I'm a boy, neither my mum or my dad ever hit me. (Didn't stop other people, though!)

LOL! I remember reading somewhere that teenage boys spend most of their time trying to prevent their mothers finding out what they are doing. So I guess you were just being normal.

But I didn't lie to anyone about my friendship with this guy, like I was upfront about it from the start, that was part of the prob with my aunt.

Which is not to say I never lied about stuff I didn't want people in authority to know, but I am very bad at lieing, and I always get found out, and punished. :hissy:

I don't know the degree of beating we are talking about.. but in general, a grown up man or woman should never hurt a child.

Corporal punishment will make a comeback some day, I'm quite sure of that. Hopefully not as brutal as it once was, but the pendulum has swung too far...

Unfortunately I couldn't outrun my dad. There's a difference between a mere spanking and an abusive beating...my dad was smart though...only beat me where my clothes could cover it and swear to kill me if I ever told anyone.

He's a total fag; FUCK HIM! I had a 32-year old guy friend when I was 16. I looked up to him like an older brother. Then one night, me and my friend decided to sleep over at his place in his bed (without my dad knowing, of course). He tried making a move on me, I rejected him. He ended up going out with my friend for like a year. He was a TOTAL scumbag but even he was willing to meet my parents to make them feel comfortable with me hanging out with him.

Yep, and that was what I was talking about. One thing is a casual spanking, inwhich the intention is not to hurt, but to educate, and one thing is abusive beating.
I'm so sorry to hear that Dubs. More children than we think go through that situation, luckily in most cases they grow up to be wonderful parents.
