    Thumbs up Npr

National Public Radio.. tax money well spent
Probably the only radio station I ever get to listen to (my commute is pretty quick, less than 30min to get to work).

Anyhooo... heres a good Stephen Colbert radio interview from NPR's "Fresh Air" segment. It's the "real" him ie not as his 'Colbert Show' character, altho they do discuss it in some detail.

I love NPR. They should have Colbert on Wait, Wait Don't Tell Me.

    that would be great.
I consider myself an FDR democrat and an Eisenhower republican. In today's America that makes me a radical without a party.

I've always loved the flaky ego of his character. Those old tire commercials he used to do were just great. And despite my tiring of his consistent hitting on conservative news makers I like him much more as a result of this interview. Particularly his descriptions of voice training. Makes me want to do it, being a person who has rarely if ever sung a note correctly.

On NPR, it is still a left leaning, moderate production. I cannot recall a report on social/political/natural events that speaks toward the advantages of conservative policy. It will on occasion refer to disadvantages produced by liberal policy as balance to the advantages. So I find them just a touch less supportive of the right, therefore its prominent popularity with liberals. Otherwise, it is a decent and calm format as info media goes.
