I've been kinda busy. Taking over a network for a putz who did an awful lot of things just because he could. That means undoing an awful lot of senselessly complex things, like an IP scheme built around 100.100.0.0/16! Pointless, senseless virtualization...virtual servers built to host a single application with no known reason to do so...continuing to use SBS2000 as the domain controller long past when there was any reasonable excuse to do so. Everything must go, as the ad-men say. That means tearing things down and re-building them, preferably without pissing anybody off. My last job offered (obviously) considerably more spare time for bullshitting around on PH. Now, I find I must hit and run. Waddya gonna do?
My intention is always to revisit the site, and mouth off like the know-it-all blowhard that I am.
