They were never legislators, they were executives and we know Obama has never held an executive office or a leadership position.

They were never legislators, what is your point?

Sen. Barack Obama

Sponsored Bill Statistics
  • Number of sponsored bills: 65
  • Number of sponsored bills passed: 0
  • Number of co-sponsored bills 364
  • Number of co-sponsored bills passed: 5
OpenCongress - Sen. Barack Obama

So he was 0 for 65 in bills he tried to get passed and had a 1.3% success rate on the ones he co-sponsored. And we are to believe he can bring both sides together, cross the aisle and be a leader and get things done.

Why? You know as a Govenor I bet Palin got more than 5 things done every morning.

I hate to be critical, but Reagan was a Governor with two terms of executive experience running the fifth largest economy in the world California. That's a pretty good prep for running the country. George Washington was Commander-in-Chief of the Continental Army In office
June 15, 1775 – December 23, 1783 and the First President of the United States April 30, 1789 – March 4, 1797 who better to lead this country as the First President than the man than the man that lead the Continental Army to victory over the British.

What exactly has Obama done? We know the only executive experience Obama had was as Chairman of the Board of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, which over the next four years Obama promptly ran right into the ground.

Cha..Cha..Cha...Chia Head Joe! The Senator from MasterCard.

Lack of experience is one of the biggest problems with Obama being a president, but it is good to note that the president doesn't need to make all of their decisions on their own because of their advisors.

The president seems to act more as a leader for the mood of the country then the person that actaully decides how to run every part of it. There is Congress for that anyway, but the president does have a huge influence over them.

Lack of experience for Obama is very bad for him, but he could still function well as president.

Anyway, I don't think there would be much coorilation between the experience of a president and how well they ran their term. But I will check that out online and see if I find anything.

What Kind of Experience Makes a Good President? | Heretical Ideas Magazine

The first link I found that looked helpful said that Obama had a simillar type of experience to the best presidents of the US compared with John McCain.

However, the site looked very biased towards Obama. But some of its info is interesting.

hasn't he led his campaign to a point that no one would have imagined?

do presidents really make that many decisions on their own? isn't it more important that they know how to surround themselves with the right people?
