I do find it odd that you adhere to the conspiracy theories of Mormonism Mike.....what's up with that? I guess it goes to show what spoon feeding can do to any person.
Oh, and I was wondering....don't you find it embarrasing that Zaragarglebargle represents your faith?

No in fact I find comfort in his efforts. You people give him a hard time and he continuously needs to defend himself.
I was born into the Church Inky, but there is an inspiring story that keeps me going, actually more than one but I will share this with you.
My son Randy had a problem with his lung, he had a marmalade substance growing between the pleura and the lung, it was so bad that by time we got a second opinion it had shrunk the lung to the size of a golf ball. He had surgery, we went ahead and had it done PDQ. At that time we had moved into our home where I live now. We had our records changed and they were reading our name into the record an Fast Sunday, the same day of Randy's surgery. I had called the new bishop earlier that day and had to leave a message. I told him what was happening and I would like to have a prayer to promote Randy's healing process. Well the Bishop didn't know who I was until they read us into the record. At that time he grabbed the first counselor and rushed to the hospital, right in the middle of the service. They came and anointed Randy with oil and preformed a blessing. The room became full of what can only be described as a spirit of love. I am sure some was emotion, but not all Inky.
Earlier that day the doctors told us that Randy would be on artificial breathing for about three days and they would wake him then. They said to expect him to remain hospitalized for up to three weeks.
Well the bishop and I talked for a bit to get to know each other then they left. About three hours latter the doctors with a puzzled look on their face said they were going to wake randy and they felt that he could breath on his own. They did, he did. That evening they put hi on the floor, out of ICU. Within four days they released him from the hospital.
I know why the healing process went the way it did. I will never deny my religion to anyone. I find it funny the amount of ignorance that surrounds the church.

While I do not doubt what you say, events like these have been reported in every other religion.
This leads me to beleive it is faith that gives people something to live for, thus makes their body fight to stay alive longer.

If he wasn't so offensive, he'd need not have to "defend" himself. But you weren't a member here when he use to say sexist, derogatory statements about women (I'm sure Dubs & BB can remember). Besides, he's a contradiction to his faith with his flaring temper and foul mouth.
As far as your son's illness goes, I'm glad things worked out for him and I can see why you wouldn't sway from your faith after a life threatening experience like you and your son shared. The mind and spirit works in mysterious ways Michael.... you have to ask yourself if it wasn't the collective faith you shared amongst each other that saved your son's life.
Faith is unto thyself.
