Good job George!!!
Bloomberg.com: U.S.
July 28 (Bloomberg) -- The Bush administration forecasts the nation's budget deficit will hit $389 billion this year, increasing to a record $482 billion next year, reflecting shrinking tax revenue brought on by a weakened economy.
How I love those fiscally conservative Republicans!

Foriegn aid and welfare.
Never mind that the president is the one that writes up the budget.

Re: Good job George!!!
I don't know why people, even now, support Bush's tax cuts. Cuts in taxes can only happen after cuts in spending. Any tax cuts that cause defecit spending only serve to harm the economy in the long run, unless of course they are incredibly short lived. That supply side economic thinking normally doesn't work if defecits are involved.

just curious... but have you ever been on another political forum where this incredibly conservative person used the face that you posted on to the BG avatar? That may just be a coincidence...
It was some hillbilly name or something
(I hope I am not breaking forum rules by saying this. if so, then help me god)

Its the infection of the extended bull run, really. Only in a situation where people have become complacent about never-ending economic growth can they become so stupid as to think you can have your cake and eat it, too.
People just forget how expensive staying alive can be...

Not that I'm aware of... I really have no time for other forums. I went to BG's site the other day but there was nothing but tumbleweed blowing around. I thought about asking him if he wanted to pay me to become a member and boost the ratings.....

Tax cuts are always good. Spending cuts are always good. Put the two together on a large scale and we'd have some real success. The inflation tax is the deadliest for the economy, however.

Tax cuts are only good if they don't cause defecits. Even if there is a tax cut, it doesn't reduce the size of the government or give the people more money (because of inflation) unless the government's spending is cut.
It is true that infaltion is one of the most deadliest things for an economy though, which can be caused by tax cuts without spending cuts. (but the fed is a bigger culpret)
