Can I prove that people die regularly because of drunk drivers?

You deny drunk drivers kill people with regularity on or roads as opposed to stray bullets?

I understand your point, but criminalizing these things to the point of the federal level does nothing to stop the activity,
We crimilize lots of things to stop them. Yeah let's just end DUI laws that will get people to stop driving drunk.

Where I live, I hear more stories concerning people getting hit with stray bullets than I do drunk driving.

Being in the middle of a gang shootout wasn't exactly what I was referring to.

This has nothing to do with drunk driving, it is about control and serfdom.

They aren't, they may be checked by the police if they are engaged in a regulated activity on a public street where the police are charged with keeping drunk drivers off of.

You may suppport driving drunk, I don't and society doesn't and will take steps to ensure people who are driving, a licensed regulated activity on a public street, are not under the influence.

Murder can't be stopped.
Some can.

Nor can DUI. The costs to the freedom of others is too high.
Everytime the police arrested someone driving under the influence, everytime someone says, I better not have another drink, there maybe a roadblock out tonight they do.

So if we take your position why not just get rid of DUI laws, if they kill someone we can just charge them with the higher offense of murder, or if they just harm someone charge them with assault.

Quote:
No, road blocks are illegal. Read your Constitution.
No they aren't, go read the court decissions. If you operate you car on your own property then fine. But once you go out on a public street you must be licensed by the state and they can regulate your activity.

Of course there will be some that will be glad to see this, after all big brother must hold our hand and protect us from ourselves, those types I really feel bad for. I hope you enjoy the article.
so your evidence that this kind of thing is "coming" is an article talking about how this type of thing "could be coming"??

wow, whats next, an article talking about how it "could happen in the future"?

Your going from one extreme to the other, I have read your posts on this thread. I wonder why you defend a government or system that does dot give one little shit about you.

If they get you to accept crazy insane shit such as this Stinger they will get you to accept anything.

No more extreme than you, you want no government control so what about traffic laws that control what speed I can drive at?

And if you don't like roadblocks then go to your city council and demand the pass a law with prevents the local police force which works for you from doing them.

Be a citizen, get active, get the law changed in yoru community.

no, its actually about your self esteem issues and your chicken little mentality where you latch onto every hair brained idea that pops up in some research center and use it to feel like someone is trying to "control you" when in actuality nothing like this ever comes to fruition and even if it does it has zero affect on your life if you ever even hear about it at all.

Oh your right, putting a blow and go in every car is not humiliating. It is a swell idea to save lives. Give me a break.
