Huckabee Broke, Thompson Out, Giuliani Broke and Losing in Florida, look who is left.
So, Thompson just pulled out of the race (he woke up and probably didn't even remember he was running. Huckabee is completely broke and can't even campaign in Florida. Giuliani is also broke, can't even pay his staff, and after putting all his eggs in the Florida basket it appears he will lose Florida leaving him pretty much broke and done.
So look who's left; Mitt Romney, McCain, and ................ Ron Paul! McCain is underfunded and we have to see how much more money Romney is willing to take out of his piggy bank. RP, on the other hand will only pick up fundraising and he will no longer be able to be marginalized in debate. Certainly not a win by any means, but things are looking up.

If Romney wins Fla., that might just do it for him. But still, I predicted nobody would bail out until after Feb. 5. I don't understand why a candidate would bail - seeing as there was only one more early primary state left. Why not just wait it out and stay on the Feb. 5 ballot? Curious....

This is truly the beginning of a new deal. Obama promised change. He just didn't know that the people would be delivering it.

He won't be for long with his recent wins.
Huck being broke doesn't mean he is out, being an evangelical means he's out
Romney may well win the nomination, virtually cinching a Dem win.
Yall are doing a damn good job of pushing me towards RP. Wish he had a chance, I really do. Even if Defensor likes him

If Romney wins the Republican nomination becuase he has the biggest piggy bank what does that mean. I don't get the impression that Romney is anywhere close to being the party darling and that he is just able to outlast everybody. That is really sad.
Thompson never even looked interested and what happened to Giuliani's money? I thought he had a huge bankroll.

A sad day for conservetives. Fred Thompson, out, very sad. When he entered the race he was eclipsed by the larger 'republican forces'. Besides, his message fell apon many deaf ears

Maybe it would have worked out better if he actually had a message.

I'm not sure what you are inferring by that statement. Certainly outlasting your opponents financially even though you are only backed by the people and not corporate or union lobby money equals success for every American citizen. It means the message is growing roots and more and more people are opening up to it.
Giuliani has put all his eggs in Florida and he's behind here. In fact, he's behind to McCain in his home state! That's just embarrassing. While I am certainly not predicting a RP win, it's good to know that the one candidate backed by the people's money instead of some media packaged clone will at least get a shot to win the minds of more and more people. To me, that's a win no matter how you look at it.

Ah yes, now Jeb Bush can guarantee a Guiliani presidential nomination. Unless the Bush family doesn't support Guiliani?
Guiliani may have temporarily "lost" some money, but something is up on the Republican side. The Republican Party WILL NOT let Ron Paul get the nomination.
I think the Republican Party already knows who they want to be their candidate and his initials are R.G.
