More Affirmative Action discrimination shit!!
Can you believe this shit?! Well, of course you can.
*I received this e-mail from the company Loral, (a company I had submitted my resume to.):
As a matter of policy as well as applicable law, we are required to keep records and perform certain analyses of our applicant pool by race, ethnicity and gender.
Since such analyses are only possible if we know the profile of our applicants, we are using this means to ask you to take a minute to complete this survey.
The information that you volunteer to provide does not at all affect your prospect for employment and is treated confidentially and maintained separate from your application.
And here are the survey questions:

Optional EEO/EOC Information: This information is used for Affirmative Action Reporting purposes only. Submission of information is voluntary.
Please fill in the appropriate response:
A. Ethnicity/Race: (Please check only one)
American Indian or Alaskan Native: (Not Hispanic or Latino) A person having origins in any of the original peoples of North and South America (including Central America), and who maintains tribal affiliation or community attachment.

It has nothing to do with your employment. It's a mechanism to document that the company isn't engaging in discriminatory hiring practices. The company is required to collect this data and present it when audited by the EEOC. If you lie about your race, there is no penalty that I'm aware of, as long as the company did not have a hand in the deception.

I was talking about this earlier. I always leave it blank, but I am concerned that not filling it out may knock me completely out since they can't determine if I fit a quota.

I understand that, but it is still discriminatory in its execution and still makes me very suspicious. Quotas ARE alive and well here in California.

I always leave it blank, too, and I am NOT going to answer their questions at all. And yes, it may put me down further in the "do we hire this person" stack of apps.

What I find bizarre is my family teaches our deathsong (in English), own our ancestral villages and I am not Cherokee according to the EEOC. My ancestors were paid with really good forged documents by the CSA in return for interrogation services in the Civil War.

No, I said "discriminatory in its execution."
But, to address the second part of your post, and despite what some may think, White males ARE discriminated against, and more and more White females, too, in the work place and in schools because of radical Affirmative Action, so-called diversity training, quotas and bleeding-heart Liberalism and scared-Conservatism.

Because, in my opinion, Affirmative Action is for Blacks and Hispanics(mainly those with limited English), only. Nowadays, Indians from India are very much a part of that equation.

My mistake; I misread the word. Are white males really having a demonstrably more difficult time as a result of this policy?
