Best Team In The NFL
While New England, in most survey's, is being crowned the best team in the NFL, that title really belongs to the Colts. Why? Because not only are they also undefeated, but they are the defending Super Bowl Champs. So no matter who wins the game between them in 2 weeks, the Colts will remain the best team until someone defeats them in the playoffs or the Super Bowl. In the mean time, the Champs are still the defending CHAMPS!

Re: Best Team In The NFL
I would say the best team in the NFL is the best team in the NFL, not who was champ last year.
But I don't doubt your assertion that they are the best, it's either them or NE.

Technically speaking, the Colts are the team to beat because they are the defending Superbowl champions. The Patriots and Colts play each other in week 9 and it is definatly a statement game for the Patriots.

That's just silliness. If the Patriots beat the Colts 42 to 24 or something, then the Patriots are the better team. In fact, the Patriots have been all around better this year anyway, so the ONLY way I'd say the Colts had a better team would be if the Colts beat the Pats.

Assuming the Patriots beat the Colts in week 9 does not make the Patriots a better team than the Colts. Sure the Patriots are scoring alot of points but the fact of the matter is that both teams are still undefeated. What game was the "better" victory? The Patriots whipping the winless Dolphins or the Colts whipping a very tough Jaguar football team Monday night? We will determine the "best" team in the AFC championship game > Colts vs. Patriots.

The Jags lost their QB. Would have been a tougher game for them if they hadn't had to rely on their backup.

Re: Best Team In The NFL
As much as I hate to say it, I'd say the Pats are the best team to this point. I know that's disputable, so no argument from me, but every part of their game is near perfect. I'm pretty interested to see that match up.

I agree but keep in mind the Jags had 0 points at half time. What impressed me the most about that game was the Colt "D". The Jag offense had less than 100 yards passing and rushing at half time.

The Jags don't have a passing game, which makes them easy to defend.
