1. Control the US borders.
2. Treat Saudi Arabia and Syria like we treat Iran... as countries that engage
in state sponsored terrorism.
3. Begin a policy of phased military disengagement from Iraq.

(4) Shift from a military posture on this war to a law enforcement
and intelligence posture.

(5) Increase the size of the US military- even if that means a draft.

(6) Move to a total war footing which means:

(a) a general call for everyone in the nation to sacrifice something.
(b) mobilization of resources and industry for this purpose.

(7) Accelerate the research into alternatives to fossil fuels. Make it the
equivalent to the effort we put into the space race in the sixties.
Once we are off oil (or our use is greatly reduced) we will hurt the
terrorists, and their sponsors, where it hurts... in the wallet.

I support a shrinking of our use of our military. We need small, quick-strike teams that can move quickly and take out specific targets.

Then we need to have a vast, broad international coalition supporting us.

Furthermore, we need to end diplomacy as we know it. We need to be kind and brutal at the same time. We also need to be consistent. Which means, we make strikes in countries even if we are friends with them, i.e. Saudi Arabia.

Well:

1. Since this is supposedly a war on "terror", why is it limited to radical Islamists? There are plenty of other terrorist organizations that have nothing to do with the Muslim faith.
2. Again, if its a war on "terror", how do you propose we go about "winning" it? The US isn't strong enough nor popular enough to do it.
3. If we were really concerned about terror, we would be better off remaining home and securing our boarders, working on gathering intel, and using diplomacy.

The problem is that most countries aren't too happy if a military strike is carried out within they boarders without their knowledge. Do we really need to be at war with another country?

2) Use stealth tactics to tap into the network, follow the money, jail the actors and confront the funders.

3) Rally Muslims to take back their faith.
