Default Occupation would create a quagmire

"How many more American lives is Saddam worth? The answer: not very damn many."

Wanna guess who uttered this quote?

Thomas did not believe the resurrection [John 20:25], and, as they say, would not believe without having ocular and manual demonstration himself. So neither will I, and the reason is equally as good for me, and for every other person, as for Thomas. [Thomas Paine, The Age of Reason]

But nobody does anything about him.

We need to starve his war machine of people and money.

Personally, I'd be delighted if a grassroots, "don't enlist" program were launched.

Sorry. I know that's extreme and I know we need a military, but pushing Bush to say the "d" word may be the only way to get self-satisfied, fat-ass bourgeois conservatives to give a damn about the horrors of our war.

Let's call up Biff...and Jenna.

Seems to me that Hillary said that she would end the war in 2009 if elected. Earlier this week she said she'd be willing to keep troops in Iraq and continue combat operations until 2013. Opinions change, or is that only allowed for democrats?

Klondike Who is this person?
Default Re: Occupation would create a quagmire

People can say all they want about ending the war on 1/21/2009. It ain't gonna happen.

It ain't gonna happen with our fleet of gas guzzlers, pick up trucks, SUVs, and Hummers. The gasoline's got to come from somewhere.

It ain't gonna happen with our aging electric generation infrastructure.

As long as we are dependent on fossil fuels -- we are stuck in Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Iran .

Changing the topic is not allowed in this thread. This thread is about Darth Cheney. Go elsewhere & start a Clinton thread.

Thank ye.

Why not just occupy Israel? That'd give the foothold in the Middle East desired by neocons. . .
