Go home and good riddance.

Do you know why all the mexicans who work at the dry cleaner across the street from my office (none of which have american id's or can even speak english) all drive brand new cars? Because they don't pay taxes. I have enough in taxes coming out of my check to buy a new car every year.
And guess why taxes keep going up? To pay for the strain of providing education to illegal immigrants that don't pay for it themselves. To help cover the cost of city maintenance, when only half of the population that uses it pays taxes. Insurance skyrockets because hospitals are dishing out free health care to illegals.
No wonder they make demonstrations to stay here. They get everything handed to them. I work just like everyone else, except I pay taxes and pay insurance and pay for the costs of family education. Pedro doesn't, and its hitting those of us that do in the pocketbook. Not to mention the annoyance of having to try and get something done in a business where you have to deal with someone that barely speaks english. Being asked at Domino's if i'm paying with dollars or pesos? Come on! How about the neighborhoods with eight families packed into each house, looking like a hurricane has rolled through them every day.

Go back to Mexico. Or, stay here, and pay like the rest of the law abiding citizens.

Have you asked for their ID's or something? How do you know?

As for the new cars, perhaps they manage their money better than you do.

Exactly, and what constitutes 'new'. Is it the 92 Honda Accord they bought for less than a grand that their family pooled together to buy?

Actually yes. I'm an escrow officer, and we refused to close two of them because of no american ID's (its illegal, yet it still manages to happen). And some of the cars they drive weren't even out last year. So, to answer your question? Yes, I have

I manage my money pretty well, but I still can't afford to drive what they drive, working for a dry cleaner..all of them. But its nice to see people still out there defending those that don't pay taxes

Its common sense. If an American citizen makes roughly $30k a year, he pays roughly 8-10 of that per year in taxes, leaving him with 20k or so a year. If an illegal immigrant makes 30k a year under the table, he's 10K better off than the legal citizen, while also getting free health care and education.

I'm sorry, but if they own homes then they are paying for education through their property tax.

Uh..no. Firstly, most don't own homes, they rent. Secondly, property taxes paid to schools are county assessments for property maintenance. You are still taxed by the government, and again by the state government (if you pay state taxes) for education as well as paying the school directly for your kid to go there. I'm not sure where you get your information.

Also, are you familiar with the tax laws for foreign property owners in the United States?

Not to mention, even if a person did pay property taxes, it doesn't in any way, shape or form justify them not paying other taxes.

edit - your right about the majority of property taxes for the school system, still not a justification to me.
