I think this is a good time to shut up, we should put the call in to France and say 'yeah yeah, you got that right', and some other shit such as 'damn skippy'. Then when France commits we can leave them holding the bag. I mean screw it, right? Iran doesn't have the capability to hit us anywho.

Wow. A frenchman made speech. Naturally I'll simply have to stop calling the Surrender Nation something else from now one.
Like The Surrender Nation with A Big Mouth.
The issue isn't to promise a war with Iran WHEN they get nukes, the issue is to do whatever it takes to stop Iraq from getting them. And France ain't been helping there. They've done their best to undermine the US position in Iraq, and if the US withdraws from Iraq, the best and strongest pressure on Iran, the US military forces in Iraq, will be lifted.
