The proposition to build the Fence was made three weeks prior to the 07 Senate/House elections to help boost the Repubs. It didn't work. All was forgotten.

Excuse me, the Secure Fence Act HR6061 was enacted Oct. 26, 2006. It passed 80-19 in the Senate and 283-138 in the House. many democrats voted for it. It became Public Law No: 109-367. Still is law, problem is like much legislation funding is the issue. Congress needs to put our money where there mouth is.
