Addition to the Rules--Copyright and "Fair Use"

We've added a new rule regarding copyright and 'fair use' rules. When quoting from something you find on the web or in print, please include only a portion of the original, just enough to help you make your point. It's rule #6: PoliticalHotwire Forum Policies, Rules and Guidelines Rules [Please Read]

    Does anyone have questions?
Even when alternative views are clearly wrong, being exposed to them still expands our creative potential. In a way, the power of dissent is the power of surprise. After hearing someone shout out an errant answer, we work to understand it, which causes us to reassess our initial assumptions and try out new perspectives. “Authentic dissent can be difficult, but it’s always invigorating,” Nemeth says.

    Yes, I have a question:

Hasn't that always been the rule?

It has, informally. Staff has been mulling over placing this in the rules of the site for a while.
