CITY, Mo. - A woman who lost her premature baby a day after she was thrown in jail is suing the police department and two arresting officers who repeatedly ignored her pleas for medical help.

She should sue the police, and I hope she wins.

I wonder if the Religious Right will get on the case and demand that the police officers in question are charged with murder or something....afterall there's that crazy new policy now, whereby if there's say a convenience store hold-up and a pregnant woman is in the store and something happens during the hold-up and it causes the woman to lose her baby....then whoever caused that gets charged with murder....EVEN if the woman lives

Not that I myself support such a crazy policy....but I'd like for once if the Religious Right were at least consistent about stuff.
