Will it be in the major news?

Will this news be plastered all over the network news today? Or will it be hardly mentioned?

U.S. forces kill top Taliban leader

"KABUL (Reuters) - U.S. forces said on Saturday they had killed the Taliban's military chief in southern Afghanistan, where the insurgency is at its bloodiest, the most senior rebel leader killed yet.
Akhtar Mohammad Osmani and two other guerrillas were killed in an air strike on their car on an isolated desert road on Tuesday, spokesman for the U.S.-led coalition force, Colonel Tom Collins, said in Kabul. "Mullah Osmani is the highest ranking Taliban leader that we've ever killed," he said. "His death is very significant and will hit the Taliban's operations." ......"

Don't watch much of it. The net lets me scroll through the top stories, pick what I want and the source. Whether its the Times, Post, BBC or even Al Jazeera. You wanna get in a real debate, go post something in one of their editorials. Those sons of bitches can get vicious!

My point is those people probably will not see any news about it on network TV. Because the biased media will not package it so.

The media knows this war isn't a sell anymore. And people certainly aren't buying Bush either....

I'm surprised you see such omissions in the news... considering your post omitted about the Canadians, Brits and Afghanis heavily involved in the offensive.

It's been on TV every 15 damn minutes on Canadian networks. But they are adding a big BUT to every report.

BUT... any permanent outcome of todays success will depend on Allied forces ability to hold on to the cities taken. There has been heavy relience on Afghan soldiers in this offensive and that seems to be working with the locals. I even saw a mixed Canadian Afghani armoured unit take a city and then raise a flag in the middle of the battlefield... an Afghanistan flag. Only.
