Thread: France leaves Afganistan

France is removing it's elite special forces entirely from Afganistan. There is your major proponent of the UN! Why? I do not know. Other to say that they talk a big game in France but that is it. Do they want to fight terrorism? Here is their opportunity. Are they bowing down as cowards to the violence that has irrupted in France from the Muslims there? France is pathetic.

I do that all the time and they always come up just as a pic and no animation.

I have this great one of a stuffed bunny getting it on in the back of the car and kermit doing a stuffed dog. Once I saved it, no more animation.

Isn't all this being a bit childish? Like France is a sovereign nation and it has the right to deploy its troops as it wishes. Surely this is a matter between the UN Security Council and the government of France? N'est pas?

That doesn't change the fact that it's cowardice on behalf of the French.

Simply because you have the right to make a choice doesn't make the choice right.

Bash France if you wish, but the main component of NATO, Is you, us, the Canadians and the Germans. Its not the UN in afghanistan its Nato is it not...

ah dear, not defending them but imagine that the French no longer wish there men to die in a war that they were called to by a country that hates them, slanders them and shows no respect for them. But yea, think it would be petty if it was.. grr

I agree Roach, though years ago, I thought of the French as a bit snobbish, why should any country want to be in any war that involves America (the new snobbish nation). If BushCo would have kept his focus on Afghanistan in the first place, who would have needed France?
