i think nucular power is like a fad every country goes through. I dont think iran will use their capability in anger but its just like the poor kid finally getting scooters but everyone else already has shoes with wheels in them.

nuclear power is a sort of status criterion for nations of power and influence. without the bomb, a nation has no real say in global decisions. the bomb is a reminder that force could always be taken, and the bomb is a check in a sense.

What the hell is wrong with you? This isn't like the old days when they will launch a missile at us. It would be very easy for them to sell a dirty bomb to Al-Quida who would sneak it in across Canada or MExico and set it off in NY.

Well my friend what do you propose we do. Attack Iran and get a huge jump in terror attacks or do we let things proceed and shut our mouths. If we are bombed we shouldprobably invade iran or take another course of force but until then all we can do is move our lips.

Yep. I was right. You propose we do nothing until it is too late. I propose that we start with sacntions. If that doesn't work we step it up to air strikes. If that doesn't work then we go in. However this time we need our SF guys on the ground to tell us what is going on.
