Thread: A chinese rise to power?

The chinese seem to be on a military and political rise. Their army numbes in the millions and there space program is moving with a steady reassurance.

So? Loads of other countries are progressing rapidly, some far more than China - Japan and Australia are two. The West is only mistrustful of China because they're those nasty Communist people.

That may very well be the case, but i am speacking of countires with other allies than ours. India is another country on the rise. I am talking as a world military police force. Like 2 world polices conflicting in seprate countires. Both trying to police.

The only reason japan cannot do so is beacuse of the restrictions we envoked after world war 2. the japanese would most likely be a conformist government to who ever came into power, because of there technelogical advancemtns. Or atelast i think it would be in thier best interest. As for australia, they are our allies, and to overcome big bad america and replace us would make alot of people unhappy.

As for the communist evil that is portrayed on the US news, i dont watch the news.

China won't attack America or America's allies, which is pretty much everyone, so why are you worried?

I'm not worried im intruiged. I know they wont attack anyone in the immediate futures but it could create alot of static if the chinese attained an alliance of the eastern hemisphere.

I doubt it'd strike up Cold War II: The Sequel. America has too many strong allies, and Europe's a big buffer.

True true, but the muslims have the oil, and if the muslims like the chinese more, by by american oil. And yes a cold war could boil over into several brushfire wars like veitnam or korea.

In that case America would start the war, but even so I doubt America would attack with all those hypothetical allies.

And the muslims don't have ALL the oil. There's lots in the North Sea. And a lot of the Middle East isn't Muslim, anyway.

well if the east makes most allies with the east where a surplus of oil is, then they will be a contender in the world

Not really. Having Azbekistan as an ally isn't quite the same as having Germany as an ally.
