I suppose it's pretty simple to tell what people's opinions are on this, depending on their ideologies. But I'm all for it. And you?

im in the middle and here's my opinion:
i personally dont care if someone is gay. i dont believe in gay relationships for me because i am disgusted with the idea, but who am i ( a member of the supposed best nation in the world) to tell someone they can or cannot be married because of the type of relationship at hand. i may not agree with gay marriage and abortion personally, but it is a freedom to be married and to abort, so i cannot interfere.
Wise words. So you're not for it, but nor against?
i wouldnt marry a gay, but i am not against it. if others wish to marry gayly, they hsould have the right to; this is a principle of freedom in America, i believe so anyhow
Heh, I'm not talking about whether you can marry a gay person. And it's not about wanting to.. homosexuality isn't a choice. It's simply something you're born with. For me it's no different to the race situation - you're born as a certain race, and you shouldn't be oppressed for that. Why are gay people oppressed, then?
And the religion card doesn't work because modern Christians follow the New Testament. There's nothing in the New Testament against homosexuality.
it might.
that card is based on the older testament![]()
The only way you could do that is if you were Jewish.
And even then you couldn't. Some high authority in the Church has revoked the passage outlawing homosexuality. Therefore there's no religious reason against homosexuality. Not in christianity/judaism, anyway.
maybe certain sects of that religious base, but from my mom's perspective, a different sect of christianity, thats not how it was meant to be, therefore "illegal"
No offence but your mother's wrong.
no offense taken. i know that :P
