Apart from agreeing with the others in this thread who think you misrepresented what was in the article, I'm curious to know how yr so familiar with the system in the UK that you can automatically assume crooked cops get off with no punishment. Have you lived there? Had some experience? Or is it just an uneducated knee-jerk reaction that's not based on anything but emotion?

Am I stretching this a bit, or are you implying that utilizing torture while questioning suspected terrorists ALWAYS leads to using it on your own people? Meaning that soon American citiziens will be tortured because we utilized torture?
Come on Mike, there will always be people out there that do things on their own, regardless of what is deemed right or wrong. Bad people do bad things. Or.....do you believe now that Obama has said we will not torture that there is zero chance that Americans will never torture Americans again?
