Why am I not supprised? If it hasn't anything to do with hate, terrorism, mistreatment of women, suicide bombings of course they banned it. Why are these people so wretchedly miserable. God forbid anyone fall in love.

I seems to me the religious dominator's are being intolerant of people
in their own country, not so much commenting on what we do in the
US.

Dont give me that politically correct "ignorant of other cultures" crap.
Shooting cows in India is not being mindful of another's culture. If I dont
agree with stoning women to death for infidelity under Sharia law thats
just having true morals. Sharia law has no place in a civilized world, and
religions should not act as governments.

The story from India wasn't just about Muslims - it talked about a hardline Hindu organisation too. It was also from 5 years ago - hardly breaking news.

I believe they protest this each and every year. Its kind of a waste of time really since not everyone makes a big deal about holidays, certainly not as much as these protesters are about Valentines day.

I have an idea, we should carpet bomb these places with cute cuddly Teddy Bears that have I Love You printed on them and they play 1977s very own It's Only Love by the Beatles, when you push the left paw.

Great idea but Im going to show my age here. The Beatles broke up in 1970 and Its only Love is by ZZ Top. I think maybe you were refering to All You Need Is Love from the Magical Mystery Tour Album in 1967.

Bombarding the middle east with Love or Teddy Bears would only piss them off worse. Hate is what they do. Love never enters the equation.

This isn't a story about Muslims being opposed to love - it's about general intolerance. It's the same as when you hear people get riled up in the West over Muslim and Hindu ceremonies going on in their backyard. Thankfully, unlike in Saudi Arabia, those people aren't in charge over here (at least, not so much. There's a bunch of cantons in Switzerland that have forbidden the construction of mosques, if I remember the story right). But let's also bear in mind that they're not in power in Kuwait, either - this was just some opposition politician mouthing off.
