If your not the least little bit intrigued that 5 different countries are waging a battle to control what, in the past, has been of no importance whatsoever, then please don't post random comments about polar bears and Eskimos. You know that's not what I'm talking about.
Well the answer could be warming up the water a degree. But that's not necessary for it to melt, is it? Couldn't they build oil wells on top of the ice? But since it's ice, is it considered water, which would then be considered "international waters"?How does 289,366 cubic miles of ice melt at below 32ºF?
