Thread: How the Bush Family Profits from Endless War

Long before the current Bush Adminstration, George Bush Sr., along with former government officials and the Bin Laden family of Saudi Arabia, created a private investment firm called the Carlyle Group. The purpose of the company is to acquire interests in arms manufacturers. Because it is a privately owned company, it’s dealings are only rarely reported on in the financial news, but it is one of the biggest beneficiaries of America’s drive to war and it is making its investors very rich.

How many of you righties knew of this...? I'm anxious to hear. Ususally when truths of neocon corruption are revealed, there's alot of silence from the right-wingers. I expect that. I revel in that.

I have a 401k plan from the Carlyle Group. It's an investment firm. Pretty good returns too!

It's dealings are rarely reported, but when they are reported they report to T- shirt makers in Virginia, I don't see it happening...SSG

Yep, I sleep very soundly knowing that responsible and talented investors are making my money work for me. And I drink blood with my vodka too. Look, powerful and rich Americans quite often buy into the companies that invest their money. It's a prudent thing to do. No conspiracy, just good business.

Acturally u can go look it up on google and wikipedia sounds pretty corrupt when senators and politions have money invested in it and their making laws ande decisions affecting the bussiness their profiting from.

I just can't accept that the whole of the coalition has gone to war just so George Bush can line his pockets.

Quite frankly I have my doubts he even has much influence at all, he's part of an administration. If his well publicised gaff's are anything to go off, he clearly isn't compitent enough to run a country nevermind a complex conspiracy.

Are you talking about the investment firm Carlyle Group?? If so you are off your rocker. it is just an uinvestment firm. Big and successful. It is invested in many industries. You are making it out like it is an arms dealer but it is horse hocky. They are invested in realestate, transportation, countless entities.
