    Spain-Who won the elections?

I don't know if that happens outside of Spain (because we all know Spain is different) but here all parties think they did great and nobody thinks they lost. You lost 2 representatives in the parlament? doesn't matter, this village in the middle of nowhere voted you and they didn't before. Always look on the bright side of life, I guess. And if this happens with small parties, just imagine with the two big ones...
We had local and state elections last week and the two big parties (PP (right) and PSOE (center-left) are still arguing about who won and who lost.
PP claims they won because they got the capitals of the important states. And PSOE thinks they won because they got more votes (though not in the important cities).

I don't know who won.. all I know it's that it wasn't me!

The echoes we had in France is that, overall, the Right won albeit by a small margin.

I think my first measure would be forcing a french guy I know to move into my villa... but just to clean it, what did you think?

I think democracy (at least in Spain) has become in most cases a choice between very bad and worse. Politicians use the people and are not even interested those who actually vote them.
And if you pleople want to hear something outrageous, my former president, Aznar said during the campaing that if you didn't vote PP, it was like voting ETA. He must have learnt that from Bush, right? But what can you expect from a party that only likes democracy when they win?

    Dream on!
My government would never accept to extradate a national treasure such as myself, and come on, we all know you'd abuse me! Forcing me to use the cleaner naked with just a leather throng, asking me to repair the shower while you're under it... what's your address again?

Ah he's only a beginner, you haven't got a Prime Minister who says when Labour gets a huge pasting at the polls, one of their worst showings ever that 'it's a good springboard for the next election' and has a month long farewell tour instead of resigning straight away like a good little Prime Minister should!

Actually I am serious. I was thinking about joining a party and getting involve in politics a bit more from the inside.
