The elections have ended in France with a new Conservative President. what do the socialsts do. Well riot of course. If the Socialist had won do you think there would have been riots? I doubt it.

The police said a total of 730 vehicles were torched and 28 police officers were injured in violent incidents from Sunday night to Monday morning. Police fought stone-throwing rioters with tear gas, but it was not clear how many rioters were injured, according to Radio France.
On Sunday night, about 5,000 people gathered at the Place de la Bastille, a favored gathering spot for right-wing supporters during the election.
Other fights with the police broke out in Toulouse, Marseilles and Lyon.

Our "conservatives" are what you'd call in the US socialists. Even our extreme right is socialist by your standards. Our so called "socialist party" is allied with communists, so really on the extreme left.
The rioters were not specially socialists (as almost all french are socialists, it's cultural) but were youngsters angry because they know that with Sarkozy the police will have more power and more numbers. Sarko is seen by many as someone who will deprive us of some of our rights in order to improve security and fight criminality.
And many young people from foreign origins (mainly arabic) are already persecuted by the police, always controlled and annoyed.
