    Turkey: Democracy OR Secularism?

    Interesting position here.
Turkey has 72 million people, mostly rural and pious ... as democracy deepens, the government has become increasingly Islamic. The military, fiercely secular, is at a stand-off with the appointment of a new president, who has a history of Islamic activism.
Should the military intervene and override the democratic operation of the state?

the secular president is being ousted. elections will be announced soon and you will see an Islamic government take over.
same happening in Pakistan where jihad as been declared by a fatwa issued yesterday.
meanwhile AQ has vowed to take back Spain and France.
    the Caliphate is being reformed.

So should the Turkish military intervene, or is democracy more important?

democracy won't hold. it will turn Islamic.
and the military will be torn the same way they are in Palestine... having to support the government and enforce Sharia Law.
sad. because Turkey had a chance.

this will start happening all over the globe as stage 3 of the Caliphate is now in progress in 2007. this should last until 2010 when Islam will be ready to take over as a superpower (or so they plan).
they will use a few major terrorism attack to soften large superpowers and democracies and take advantage of weakened states.

curious that Turkey's prez and Tony Blair are out of office in the same time period.
