    Racism

It seems to me that there are only two soltions to this whole 'racism' mess, because at the moment there are so many contrasting views as to what counts as racism, it is very difficult to actually pin down what racism is.

    A) We live in a world where RACISM is defined by -any one speaking at all about a religion not their own - and the act of racism is illegal.

    B) We live in a world where anyone is allowed to say anything that they want about any other relgion, but they equally have to be prepared to take insults back.

What do you think? Can you think of any other solutions? What do you define as 'racism'?

Religion often breeds negative or racist views about a group of people but racism is not speaking against religion I do that on a daily basis.

Racism is believing that one particular race is better than another based on racial or cultural differences.

Most culturals and religions are pretty intolerant of others. They simply mean a form of pariah culture.

The best solution in my opinion is to just try to be more tolerant and get over it. It will never be eliminated so lets quit being so sensitive about it. Call me a cracker or a honkey or a redneck or whatever it is you want. I don't care, I won't care. Sometimes things continue because of how much they bother someone.

I think on point B you are not correct. You may live in a world that allows people to talk about anybodies religion, but in Muslim countries you cannot speak out against Islam. You will be put on trial and imprisoned or even put to death. Racism is not often a two way street.

Because religion is so big no one thinks of it a racism. It's jst like being predjudice against whites: it doesn't seem to matter.

Will you stop reading my mind ...this is what I was going to say!!

Seriously, if people would stop making a big deal of of it, it wouldn't be such an issue.

I just want to say that I am racist towards cows. I believe I am better than any cow out there. If any cow has something to say about it. I'LL EAT HER

What, in everyone's mind here, makes racism inherently immoral?

    Re: Racism

Well I'd say there is definately a mix up in many people's minds about what racism is. Some people do not understand the defining terms of what seperates one race from another and ANY hate cast is 'racism.' It is not.

Ortho stated the correct definition of racism on Post #2. So with there being a clear cut definition.. there you have it. If people decide to fall outside the definition and make it up as they go, it is really just them being ignorant to the true meaning. Let them look like idiots for all I care.

I don't think there will ever be a solution to racism because it stem and is completely revolving around an emotion called hate. The solution would be to get rid of hate but, ya know, impossible. Not acceptable to hate, but still impossible to get rid of. I'd just be better off getting over it and moving on.
