George Bush should come under the same scrutiny as Saddam Hussein

So Saddam has been executed. He was no hero or humanitarian, but a despot and butcher. However, he is the same man who received U.S. military backing (including chemical weapons) when Iraq fought Iran. He was accused of killing thousands, and his sentence is apt. My question is this, since there are no weapons of mass destruction and more than 600,000 Iraqi civilian deaths post the U.S. invasion, when will George W. Bush face the same scrutiny? Will he walk the 13 steps?

Re: George Bush should come under the same scrutiny as Saddam Hussein

Would you have said the same of Roosevelt for the Americans killing thousands of innocent German civilians during WW2 while trying to defeat Hitler, who killed millions?

The 600,000 figure is false. One radical study put it at 100,000 (CNN.com - Study puts Iraqi toll at 100,000 - Oct 29, 2004), "but some non-government estimates have ranged from 10,000 to 30,000"

Also, the study relied on testimony from 'households'. As we saw in Lebanon, testimony from Arabs caught in war zones is usually false (the same woman appeared crying in several pictures, and that is just one example)

Now tell me who is worse: Bush or Saddam? Roosevelt or Hitler? Who are the real criminals? Who got justice? Who gave it out?

Either way, for better or for worse, the victor is right

I object to the death of thousands of people for a war based on what was obviously dodgey and decieving motives

The heavy American bombing of Iraq was in the beginning of the war. The dead Iraqis were in the beginning of the war. Anything after that came from other Iraqis, very little from Americans.

In that part of the world, everybody kills everybody. Saddam killed many more of his own people than America ever did. America did in war, Saddam did out of cruelty. There is difference

Either way it is vastly more than any deaths attributable to iraqis to us. Everyone says " it was only 100000 people!" Thats hilarious, how thoughtless of me....

Roosevelt didn't attack or declare war on anybody. Hitler declared war on America. He lost because of it. Saddam didn't do anything to America, Bush attacked Iraq for no reason so if there is any comparisons to be made, it should be Bush and Hitler since these two were agressors.
