LOL! You are right. I know better now. If I ever go back to the USA (and I hope I do) it will be all "Yes, sir, no sir, three bags full, sir!" I don't mind admitting I was scared shitless they were going to send me to Guantanamo.

Not credible. Too easy to treat, too easy to detect on autopsy, too easy a target for a hostile press. If they were going to abuse him, it won't be by any means as obvious as that. Bright lights, mild electroshock, and the occasional dose of soapy water are all indetectable and can make a man's life totally miserable.

Then again, does this man have any information that may pertain to any investigation of President Clinton and Whitewater? People have died in jail mysteriously for that.

I can't remember the exact words (like it was two years ago) but I drew her attention to my passport which says something like "Her Britannic Majesty requests and requires the bearer be allowed to pass freely without let or hindrance, and be afforded such assistance and protection as may be necessary." And I suggested she stop asking me dopey questions, and stamp my passport.

I think I may have also mentioned something about coming from a society which had a higher standard of living than hers, so I was not going to hang about in the USA any longer than absolutely necessary.

It was, upon reflection, perhaps not a wise choice of words, but she had such a strong Spanish-American accent I could hardly understand her, and I was getting very irritated. It was like 10pm, I had spent eight hours on an aircraft, and I was carrying a heavy backpack.
