Thread: Liberals who hate America

Do liberals hate America? Of course not! Liberals love America, probably more than Conservatives do. We love the ideals of the Declaration of Independence where it states that all men are endowed with the unalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. We cherish the Constitutional notions of checks and balances. We worship the freedoms laid out in the Bill of Rights.
What Conservatives see as "hate" would be more properly described as "disappointment". We are disappointed when our leaders and our nation stray from these sacred American ideals. If there is any hate, it is not for America or Americans, it is for the leadership that betrays America.

Liberals love America just as much as conservatives do, its just a different kind of love. A love that wants it to be a country that stands up for what is right and does not stray from the path of freedom and liberty. I am sick of hearing liberals hate America.

Perhaps someday we will eradicate the ignorance that causes people to spew such bile. First of all, cutesy little language about who loves America more reminds me of babies vying for mommy's attention. Let's just grow up and deal with the issues as well as we can. Bad ideas are just bad ideas, and we all have them. They don't make us sub-human America-hating retards, whether progressive or conservative.

Exactly, but you will be hard pressed to convince many that liberals arent terrorist loving America haters. Apparently what i posted was total horse poo. Liberals really do hate america and love terrorists. Oh well.

Excellent post. I'm sick of it, too. I'm sick of being called a traitor because I expect my federal leadership to abide by these sacred American ideals.

I've been a member of this forum for less than a week and so far I am a terrorist lover, I support the enemy (whatever that is), I'm a traitor, I'm a complaining baby, I expect my government to take care of my medical bills....the list goes on and on. I'm not sure why people insist on insults and attacks rather than dialogue, but I guess they aren't here for dialogue.

I'm sure you were called all those things. But if youlook back, it was the same 3 people calling you that, and they may well be the same person with different names. I wouldnt lose any sleep over it you panty waist liberal America haters.

Well, I've never seen a post like this. Most of the time its the Liberals calling us "War Mongers", "baby killers", Nazis. You name it. Whenever we speak up for our country and government, all of the sudden we are as far right as you can be. I used to vote democrat, then I woke up. I did my own research into who has done what over the years. Im more of a Libertarian than anything. But I will NEVER vote for that party again. I think Clinton did it for me. It showed me how much a rock and roll, good time guy can truly screw things up. I dont think you would be called these things if you didnt have half of the liberals in hollywood and capitol hill, spouting off every 5 seconds about why this country sucks. THEY represent YOU. Between the news and hollywood, its amazing we still have a country.

And as for Hollywood representing me, well that's totally twisted if people think actors represent everyday folks, and not my problem if non-liberals can't see how retarded it is to think we are anything like people with gazillions of dollars and all the free time in the world on their hands.
