Thread: This Sucks

I have never been a huge fan of Christmas. People that treat you like shit all year are nice. Sitting in Taji Iraq on the morning of Dec 25 changes everything. For the first time I really miss the holiday. Don't know if its the wife, sons or new baby girl, but i can't remember feeling worse. So everyone give a toast to all the guys who loved the holiday before now, this has to be killing them. merry christmas all.

I am sure it does. I have had to work on Christmas before and I thought that bad. You are so far from home. I want you to know that I appreciate what you are doing. Thank you. I hope you have a nice Christmas any way. May your next Christmas be with your loved ones. Merry Christmas!

Don't know what to say Ice. I've twice been seperate from my wife for x-mas for visa reasons so i know it does suck. Maybe you'll appreciate Christmas more when you get back.

your right of coarse, We tend to not appreciate something until it is taken from us. Last year I got back from Iraq 3 days before X-mas so had no idea how the guys that were replacing me felt,just sharing not really complaining, it was my choice to join after all. you guys are all great. Have a Holly Jolly Christmas.

Inky, A Moderate,aka my little pain in the ass,lol. Has discovered girls. He has a little woman at school ( thanks to PHW) i know his views on premarital sex. He is really buckling down in school.IB program goes into full gear next year and he wants to go to west point so he needs to study hard. When i get home I'll try to get him leaning in the direction of the air force academy. Better standard of livingand all. So he is busy but doing great. I'll let him know you asked and advise him to drop in and say hi

You have my heartfelt thanks, keep your chin up and your head down (alot of our guys are depeding on you) and I know you won't let them down. When you get back, you'll be able to hold that head high as you wish.
