USA - 5 years from now.
Iraq - 5 years from now.
Iran - 5 years from now.
Israel - 5 years from now.
North Korea - 5 years from now.
Cuba - 5 years from now.

USA: Continuing it's slow decline into autocracy (but not there, it will take a while).
Iraq: Split into three seperate nations.
Iran: Occupied by the US
Israel: Making it's way towards being run over by the Arabs, but not there.
North Korea: Hard to say, but I think the region will remain stable for some time yet.
Cuba: Castro's dead and a US-backed president in place (possibly through invasion).

Iraq - 5 years from now.

Almost 50% in Iraqi hands; (we're getting there people, but we will not cut-n-run! Damn Republicans can't abide by the Democrat President's program of staying the course in Iraq, President Obama says!) Saddam still appealing his sentence from Death Row. More terrorists, only not so-much called al-Qaida anymore; new, improved name designated; TBA.

Iran - 5 years from now.

Other countries still arguing if Iran has nuclear capability. Ahmadinejad thrown out for being all talk, no action. Iran talking to US; promising to not attack Israel.

Israel - 5 years from now.

Still thinking they're above everyone else. Not on the greatest terms with the US, but US still giving billions of dollars to Israel, (just in case!) More walls go up; stronger borders patrols.

North Korea - 5 years from now.

Little Kim-Jong Whackjob still thinks he can sing. Has nuclear missles pointed at almost every country. Kim sending out videos of himself to countries around the world, showing him in the master nuclear control room with his hands over giant red buttons; (like in the Batman TV series).

Cuba - 5 years from now.

Fucking Castro is still alive. Hell, Keith Richards won't even outlive Castro! Guantanemo is closed, but rumors are that there is an undisclosed US torture compound somewhere on a Caribbean island.
Castro and the US have a worker program where Cubans are shipped by US cruisers to the US and they get free medical care, free non-English speaking school, free driver's licenses, free cars, free housing and no taxation, but can send all their money home to Cuba. This program adds 10 years to happy Castro's life, guaranteeing him a dying age of at least 125 years!

Iraq - Iraq has only limited violence now. The US has military bases in strategic positions near Bagdad and the borders of Syria and Iran. The giant Iraqi Army and the Local police have control over the day to day problems. Saddam was hanged in the streets.

Iran - Iran has a nuclear weapon.

Israel - same as always.

North Korea - North Korea has a nuclear weapon.

Cuba - Castro is on his death bed.

USA - has pulled up the drawbridge and retreated into fortress America since Australian scientists developed a strain of super-myxamatosis which has the capability of wiping out any and every country on earth.

Iraq - is somewhat stable since the Australians kicked the Americans out (the British left 4 years ago when Tony Blair was toppled) and the US, Australia and Great Britain are paying annual reparations, together with cost of the European peace keeping mission there. The French lead the mission, and are quite successful once the despised Americans and British are gone.

Iran - has an extensive network of nuclear power plants completely obviating the need for any oil (an increasingly rare commodity, which it sell for usurous prices on the world market). President Rice continues to talk of the necessity of 'taking out the Iranians nuclear weapons' before a major American city disappears under a mushroom cloud. The bloodless Iranian coup has been replaced by a moderate form of Islamic democracy.

Israel - has now surrounded itself with so many walls, that Israeli citizens are having trouble finding their way around the maze. The Palestinians now have their own autonymous state, and Israel has withdrawn from the Golan Heights, and the occupied territories, since the Australian Prime minister hinted that the deployment of a judicious amount of SuperMyx might make the Zionists a touch more balanced in the treatment of their neighbours. The US, now the only country to maintain diplomatic relations with Israel, continues to pour billions of dollars into propping up the Jewish state.

North Korea - continues to make ludicrous threats, and continues to press for bilateral discussions with the US. President Rice continues to rebuff these advances. The Australian Prime Minister continues to get increasingly impatient with the North Koreans, and even they are starting to sip their water cautiously.

Cuba - is now a moderately prosperous, essentially socialist democracy, since the death of Fidel castro and the Australian insistence on the lifting of trade sanctions.

You see the US occupying Iran but still imagine Israel would be over run by the Arabs???

USA: Still standing, possibly less hated than now as hopefully there will be a new president, new agenda and new foreign policy without any random invasions

Israel: Not much change.. still lots of deaths on both sides and occupation of palestine
North Korea: not much change.

So basically my prediction... nothing much will change over the next 5 years. America is the great motivating force for change in the world and its in no position to promote change right now with its military stetched by Iraq and Afghanistan not to mention that Bush's hands are now tied by the Democracts (a very good thing) and public opinon worldwide and in America should hopefully prevent another silly little invasion.

Habeeb will be accompanied by a contestant from the US or UK, being from the christian right will be a requirement for contestants.
