Nope. Obama should pull out now. I don't care about Afghanistan or the Taliban, in general. We can defeat them more effectively, as needed, with subterfuge, espionage and DIPLOMACY.
Get the hell out, Obama.

Obama seems to be in a tough position... It seems like he doesn't want to send more troops, but he seems to know that if al-Qaeda strengthens again in Afghanistan and we are attacked again, Obama will catch a lot of blame for not staying strong against them and for not listening to the military leaders.

Thats the problem with these presidents, they don't listen to the military. They know it all and this one is a real know it all. If he don't send troops, its a give away. He will have to pull the troops out. Hell he don't want to fight his friends anyway. I would rather see our guys out than caught with no help. My thoughts, If we wanted to and to hell with public opinion, use heavy artillery, the air force and missils. Level it, Make the place look like an abandond stone quarry. Turn it into a gravel bank. Then our next president should send all the Arabs from here to make stone walls with no US funding.

Last I remember Obama said Afghanistan was the "right war" so now what it's not a war he wants to fight? If he puts more troops in Afghanistan he will vindicate Bush on the surge in Iraq, of course Bush does not need vindication as the surge worked and he handed Obama a war that was won. Again Obama said the surge would not work yet the commanders say to win in Afghanistan they need more troops. So what is Obama to do repeat Bush's surge in Afghanistan or duck and run waving a white flag?

The original attack could have been avoided if more time was put into preventing it. Iraq is done. I actually never think we should have entered into that war, but we've pretty much won that one now so hurry up the last minute touches and ship out. The administration needs to decide if they really want to fight this war in Afghanistan or not. I don't really think it would do any good to continue fighting personally. If they are committed to ending it, than send the necessary amount of soldiers and equipment to get it done quickly and efficiently.

I would like to hear more opinions from liberals on this topic...
Does Obama do a Bush surge in Afghanistan or does he pull out? If he does the Bush surge he is on record that the surge would not work, if he pulls out he goes against his claim this is the "right war." What will he do. In my opinion he will pull out, he does not have the stomach for a war even though he claims this is the "right war"....

I don't think that's it. I think he wants to figure out if the war is truly worth it. More American soldiers are dying every day for square miles of nothingness. The cause has faded among the people, and many are tired of fighting. We should cut our losses, and let Karzai take over, so we can use that money that is going to shells in the desert, for more important causes here in our country.

No.
The Messiah has stated explicitly, several months ago, that he cannot define "victory" in Afghanistan.
Every troop death and injury that has happened since then has been the Messiah's fault, since he's keeping troops in harm's way without having a clue why they're there.
No way should we give that incompetent butcher more Americans to kill.
