Thread: Are we headed toward a Police State?

Saturday Evening, November 4th I will be hosting a Live Internet TalkCast discussing the increased Militarization of our local and state police forces. (As well as the Policing Role of our Military) This is a live broadcast at 10:00 PM Eastern Time and I welcome all of you to participate and share your comments on this topic. We will discuss the Pentagons push to provide surplus weaponry to our Police, The shared tactical training between our Military and Civilian Police forces, The future of “non-lethal” weaponry and the actions of SWAT teams to name just a few.
All sides of this issue are more than welcome, in fact they are encouraged! You can participate in 3 ways:
1. Listen live at www.talkshoe.com, no login required. I host Rebuilding Eden, show #777. The show will appear on the main page about 15 minutes before its scheduled start time (9:45PM Eastern, Saturday November 4th, 2006).
2. Create a user name and login to text chat while you listen – This is great fun and you get to see a whole other stream of conversation and free.
3. After you have created your user name you can also call into the program following the on-screen instructions and we can get your feedback live on the air. While not a toll free number, it is otherwise totally free.
If you miss the show you can download the podcast later, or subscribe to the feed via iTunes.
Joining the talkcast is pretty straight forward, you go to www.talkshoe.com and enter "777" in the search box. This will take you to my show, number 777, Rebuilding Eden. Its all pretty easy and free. I hope to get your opinions. Thanks, John

Good. More enforcement can't hurt.

Yeah more enforcement is great and all, but not when you feel as if its big brother watching you. whats the point of being policed if you feel more terrified of those supposed to be protecting you?
