Anyone who defines themselves by their skin pigment needs a big SLAP.

You have more important things to think about.

How about your career?

Or your values?

Or your family's needs?

Or the town you live in?

Race politics needs to DIE and now.

I am not a white man. I am a writer, an analyst, a father, a husband, an amateur actor, a politics junkee, a red sox fan and a lot of other descriptors. I can't think of ANY reason to concern myself with my skin color and if it weren't for the stupid race baiters and skin pigment entrepreneurs, it wouldn't even come up.

Total bullshit, undiluted and pure. First off, whomever made the video can't even spell Barack Obama's name right. The second I saw that, the video lost any and all credibility.

Anyone with half a brain knows that the party of choice for racist bastards is the republicans. Every low-down redneck I know loves the republicans.

I am white and have no guilt. I do at times feel ashamed of white people who do terrible things that are racially motivated. But, thats the American way, hate something simply because it's different. America's track record is less than flawless on this. Just read a history book.

..and that is what people like Michaelr and those of his ilk don't get. I don't suffer from white guilt, but there are times when i'm shaking my head. But then again I do that a lot regardless of the color or as kmiller said the pigment of their if that person is doing something stupid.

I'm just baiting you - you're right of course. It's irrelevant and we're all cheapened every time we have to listen to people (Kanye) harp on about it.

BUT

There's a serious "But" attached to the issue. As an objective example: Go to Germany and there are all kinds of museums and historical sites showing all the ugliness and horros of the holocaust. Ask any German to describe the 30's and 40's and they will say "Germany went nuts and killed a bunch of people for no reason" without batting an eye. Every school kid knows what happened.

Now go to Japan and read a history book or talk to a citizen. You'll hear "in the 1930's and 40's Japan was trying to help and improve their neighbors when irrational foreigners bombed the living shit out of us for no reason. Here are pictures ond vidoes of how much Japanese people suffered (no one else is mentioned) during these decades. The lesson learned is that foreginers are crazy and don't deserve Japanese assistance any more.

The Germans are not wallowing in guilt, they are beign honest with the actual facts of what occurred. And as a result of their honesty the past is well behind them. ALmost nobody would equate modern Germnay with Nazi Germany. It was 3 generations ago and is not relvant to modern politics.

BUT, Japan has not come to terms with reality, has not apologised and does not address the issue. There is no museum for foreign victims in Japan, only museums of Japanese victims. The result is their neighbors continue to carry the grudge, continue to demand that the issue be addressed, even though the actual victims are long gone. It's a festering wound that wont heal because the wrongdoers refuse to accept that fact that they did wrong. Japans neighbors equate Japan today with the Japan of the 30's. It's a real factor in modern politics.

Obama saying to South Americans "we've done some dumb shit but it was years ago, it's over, let's move on" is exactly what they want to hear, costs nothing, and is worth more to South Americans than anything else America could give them. he had them eating out of the palm of his hand that trip and all he had to do was actually admit the truth that everybody who can read can find with 3 seconds research - America had brutal, imperial interventions in South America. But he was the only American President to ever admit it, even though it was common knowledge and indisputable fact.

Every time soemone says the words 'white guilt' or complains about 'reverse racism' they're keeping the shit alive for the next generation, just as much as dumb asses like Jessie Jackson or Kanye West or people who cheered for OJ are.
