Obviously I don't want people just shouting "LIAR!" But if a President wants to address Congress there should be some debate. Otherwise, what's the point, other than him trying to boost his approval rating?

I don't think anybody should ever be "made" to apologize since it means nothing if there is no sincerity. This is a case where the guy is not sorry. He has made the talk show rounds and is lavishing the attention. There are rules for a reason. If everybody in congress just stood up and started yelling whenever they didn't like something it wouldn't work. The problem for the teabaggers and protestors is that the election happened and they don't like the results. Just becuase people are rude at town hall meetings or are willing to publicly disrespect the president, that doesn't mean that there vote should count anymore than the last time it was counted. That isn't how democracy works. If you lose, then you are supposed respect the will of the voters. The republicans didn't stand up and interupt George W Bush when he was spending money we didn't have. It is pretty clear he distorted the facts to sell the Iraq war and nobody was concerned about that enought to stand up and get outraged. Over 4.000 Americans died and Joe Wilson didn't throw a fit about that. There seems to be something more to the emotional response we are seeing to President Obama and the facts seem to prove that it has nothing to do with fiscal responsiblity.
