Why am I not surprised Bush is making a move on Cuba now that Castro has fallen ill.

Wasn't his pitch for Iraq something about it lowering energy costs when we took over their reserves? ~Inkster
That's what we all thought was going to happen. It would make logical sense that prices would come under more strict control, but I have yet to see any great deal of logic from the Bush gov't at all.Originally Posted by Inkslinger

Go Haliburton!
Having been to cuba a few times I can honestly say despite it's poverty, the people are very happy and have a strong sense of family. The waters off the coast are pristine and a marvel to scuba. It is beautiful there. Interesting as well to drive through the town of Moron. A lot of average joes have those pelican (bobbing) style oil rigs in their back yards.
What a beautiful country aside from the poverty. However their poverty is a lot more beautiful than what can be found in our "modernized" societies.
