Thread: Bush and Domestic Spying

The Bush Admin. has been the most SECRETIVE Presidency in recent history. Bush has already gone on record saying the current FISA court is out dated and does not meet the requirements to fight modern day terrorism. However, Bush could have gone to congress to get FISA updated to meet the current environment of fighting terrorism in the 21st Century. Yet Bush failed to request such matters. Bush also, could have temporarily by passed FISA to pursue a hot lead or to stave of immenient attack on American soil; and had 72 hours to inform FISA of its actions--but once again Bush elected not to take this route. We must ask ourselves "WHY NOT"! "WHAT DOES BUSH HAVE TO HIDE"

We are talking about a wire taping authorizations that has been conducted since 2002 with w/o proper over sight. You have had reporters go on record stating that Bush had been using unauthorized wire tapping during the elections---but this information never was reported b/c it was an election year. The point is, Bush was using domestic spying/wire tapping w/o the over site of the FISA court. There are no checks and balances on what this President is doing. Bush is simply saying to the American people, "TRUST ME"---I wouldn't lie to you!

Right now the American public does not know the full extent of Bush's wire tapping and Domestic Spying! We can only assume that millions of American citizens were unknowingly spied upon--etc telephone calls and e-mails. We must critically ask ourselves why were Americans targeted and why is Bush trying to keep a SECRET on who he was spying on domestically.

These are the type of methods that a ROGUE leaders of third world police states use! By not holding Bush accountable for ignoring the current laws of the FISA courts, we run the risk of allowing our country to descend into a POLICE STATE.

The Republican Congress have circled the wagons under the guise of party loyalty and have yet to hold meaningful investigative hearings on just who Bush was spying upon and how wide was the eaves dropping net!

The Republican Congress took an oath of office to uphold the constitution and the laws of this nation---not to show blind loyalty to the GOP and a Republican President or should I say a Republican "KING GEORGE"!!!!!

We have a constitutional crisis in our Gov't and partisan party politics needs to be set aside for the good of the Nation.

Um he hasn't. HE has told Congress what is going on. Chill dude. They aren't listening to you or anyone else. Oh yeah. If you tell the enemy you are tracking thier calls. THEY WILL STOP MAKING THEM!!!
