    Mrs. King's Funeral DNC?

I am disgusted by the Dems use of Mrs. King's funeral as a Bush bashing platform. How many cheap shots were taken on a day when they should have been praising the life of a great American? GW brings a lot of it upon himself, but that was no place for politics. If you support any of these self serving turds, you should be ashamed. If it weren't for lies and black brainwashing, the Democratic Party would be nothing more than bunch of old drunken perverts.

I was with you right up until the bit about "all Democrats are stupid". I agree it was a moronic thing to do. But if someone supports the Democrats, why should they be ashamed of themselves? Of the party, sure. But it wasn't the supporters who did it, it was the party.

I never said they are stupid...but thanks for saying it for me. I don't like to affiliate myself with one party or another, I would rather make up MY mind on a subject, and comment on it. If I'm wrong, I'll admit it, learn from it, and move on. I am not wrong on this one. As an American, I am ashamed for their behavior, and if you voted for or support any of these people, you should be too!

I'm not saying you're wrong about the Democrats being stupid on this one. But the voters have no reason to feel ashamed. They didn't force them to do this, and the fact they voted for them doesn't mean they endorse this.

And I didn't vote Democrat, I'm not American. And if I WAS American, I wouldn't vote Democrat OR Republican. But the fact remains that you can't blame the voters for what the Party does. Take Labour in Britain, for example - I don't think the Socialist Labour voters can be blamed for Labour's massive right-wing U-turn.

    Coretta King

Flash, you call Coretta a great American. She was one of those "democrats" and rest assure, she never shared any of Bush' values or policies. The Coretta King's are the heart and souls of America. Government is where the bile gathers.
Al Sharpton is one of the GREATEST peices of shit to represent any people, black or white. He sells hate and gets paid well for it. Yep, I agree, he chose poorly to use the funeral at Coretta's expense, tho she probably shared Mr. Sharpton's philosophy. Bush was as nervous as whore in church. He was there purely to escape public scrutiny. All in all, all those damned Democrats acted in respect during his speach. There are bad eggs in every walk of life. You have your Pat Robertsons (Jesus hates him more than he could know..oh, oh, oh!), we have our Reverand (praise HIM) Al Sharptons....
    WE NEED MORE RELIGION!

    um...

i think it was stupid of them to use the funeral to mention political issues, besides civil rights, but that doesnt make them immediately a stupid party.

Also, if you do not affiliate with either party, then if you call one party or another stupid, we'll just ignore it. Plus, it's very unfair, I think, to call any party stupid. All parties and all paths have their positive ideals and viewpoints that only a fool would fail to recognize.
Bush, conveniently, used comments about Mrs. King to open his "State of the Union" speech, by the way. Then he launched straight into defending the war in Iraq -- and she and her husband hated war and violence. I call that wrong...just wrong.
