With one being you hate the system the most and three being you love it the most, how would you rate communism?

For those of you who may not remember or know much about it here are some examples of Communist governments:

    The former USSR

    The Peoples Republic of China

    Cuba

    North Korea

    The former Cambodia

    The former Congo

    The former East Germany

Well as you can all see I debated if this would be a ten point scale, a five point scale or a three point scale. Please consider it to be a three point scale.

Communism is an aberration. It can't be implemented, in practice. There's no such thing

as a "fully communist" system, because you'll always need some central ruling body or group.

And, that then results in an oligarchy, not a commune.

The closest thing we have to communism in today's world, is Big Insurance.

Even the Chinese, aren't communist and haven't been in quite a while!

The American corporatocracy, is probably closer to communism these days,

    that it is to capitalism!

Well, this seems a topic devoid of purpose. Before any meaningful discussion can be had, you'd need to define what you mean by communism, as the word is used in many different ways. Does Kerala count, for example, a democratic state with amongst the highest rates of literacy, longest life expectancies, lowest population growth rates and best healthcare systems in India?

Yes. Well, those specific example that Lakeman mentioned, they're from the old school, which had a very bizarre view of the role of the state in all that - it was like, "holding power till the parts could unite", almost like that. None of 'em lasted very long, right?

That's why I keep saying - globalism is a pipe dream! It's just a gigantic ripoff, is what it amounts to!

Communism leads to flowers and daisies and white girls named Debbie too. Jesus loves communism and hated the money changers. I hate money and think everyone should just eat each others food.

I don't hate it or love it. Primarily due to the fact that there still exists a centralized authority that exhibits direct power over society, though it's existence doesn't represent the upper class controlling the lower, but rather the simple administration of society. Whether a centralized authority is justifiable I guess is up for debate.

I don't think there's even been a communist system in the real world. I've never heard Soviet Union or China or those other places referred to as Communists by anybody other than themselves and 1950's Americans.

The only point of globalism is to consolidate the money and resources of the world into a few hands of the plutocracy.

I hate communism and all it stands for because it is a lie perpetrated by those who only seek to control society on the pretense that they are doing society some sorta favor.

Americanism, with all its faults, is still the best system of government. That is why we have the oldest known working form of government, but there are those who would say that it is not working so well right now.
