    Cash cows

President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama, and Vice President Joe Biden have morphed into a triple-headed fundraising machine, racking up 45 events with well-heeled donors since April.

Obama, First Lady, Biden Are Fundraising Goliaths

Obama has attended 31 fundraising events so far, including three in New York City June 23. One of those was a $100-a-head performance of Whoopi Goldberg’s Broadway musical “Sister Act.” He also was at a $10,000-a-plate dinner at the Philadelphia home of Comcast executive David Cohen.

Come on come on livin for the money, come on come on, listen to the money talk.

    I'll just leave this here...

Bush dwarfs Democrats in fund raising - CNN

It's de rigueur, OS. It's the system, they all have to play the game.
They shall know me by the tang of my bitter and untenable jadedness.

Is it, so why is campaign finance only an issue during Republican Administrations?

There is a deafening lack of roar from those who normally poo poo money's influence on politics, why would these three cash cows deflect such criticism, Towski?

Your question. It makes no sense. How can one deflect criticism one is not receiving?

Oh so they're not even receiving any criticism for raising millions in campaign funds? I can remember when the influence on politics from money was a bad thing, you're telling me now criticism doesn't even exist, these three aren't having to spend any time deflecting at all. They're able to raise unlimited anounts of cash, money and political campaigns not even a troublesome reality anymore?

Who's deflecting? You were the one that brought up the subject. When it was pointed out this is normal and accepted practice, which George Bush excelled at, and you quickly agreed. NOW what are you whining about?

No, OS. You told ME that criticism didn't exist. Remember? Like 5 minutes ago?

Yes Wood.....in fact I was the one who had to bring it up. Those who were so vociferous for campaign finance reform claiming money corrupted politics, that's no longer an issue for them, huh?
